4th Workshop on Recovery

Workshop 4 was held on the 8th and 9th December 2005 in Prague, Czech Republic. The topic of this workshop was recovery and renewal after a crisis.
Most of the presentations were based on the experience gained by the city of Prague after it faced the worst deluge in over 500-hundred years, in August 2002.
The different problems revealed by this flood have been successively tackled : organization of public transport, repair of riverbanks, roads and buildings.
Great energy has been deployed to restore the damaged paper archives in public buildings. The issue of waste management has also been dealt with, especially focusing on sanitary problems.
